WELCOME TO THE DEPARTMENT OF BOTANY

  Initially, the department of Botany was established in the Govt. Chandulal Chandrakar Arts & Science College, Patan as one subject in B.Sc. in 1990-91. Now, at present the PG (M.Sc.) and UG (B.Sc.) level classes are being conducted in Botany Department. 

VISION

To establish and to be recognized as a department of high standard in teaching and learning of recent plant science based approaches and to enhance chances of employability of students.

MISSION

In order to fulfil the mechanism of vision and goals, group discussion and debate based approach should be incorporated along with regular teaching.

To make students updated in field of employability, soft-skill development workshops are to be introduced.

FUTURE PLAN

To create links in college website for   opened discussion, information sharing and feedback based contribution

To increase facilities for greenery enhancement in campus and to introduce new plant verities in Botanical garden, along with living, auditing or coding and geo tagging of available plants.

To create environment for competitive exams like NET, SLET and GATE.

The department of Botany offers two courses. One for under-graduate and another for  post-graduate.
